Can't walk on the verge all the way due to vegetation, high banking & drainage ditches so some points it's necessary to walk along the road. It would be a problem for someone of limited mobility, those afraid of traffic or who don't like walking on roads....

Did the Stewarton-Dunlop section, very pleasant walk on quiet minor roads, over fields and through woods. The first bit over fields leaving Stewarton requires crossing a couple of fences, I didn't see any stiles or gates....
