Help connect Longniddry

Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.

Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.

Give a hike and help get a for every one of Longniddry’s Slow Ways.

The next section of the route is along a minor public road without verges so care has to be taken of traffic. The finish of the route diverges from Lonhad Two at Lower Alderston Road. There is no access on to Hospital Road from the route shown on the Slow Ways map going along the north side of the hospital building....

If you start from the B1377 to the east of the station car parks, take the track signed "access to railway walk". The route is very clear and easy to follow apart from locating the path for the section east from Somnerfield Crescent. You need to go between 10 and 12 Somnerfield Crescent into the park beyond and follow the path through the park....
