Description
This is a great way to walk between Torquay and Teignmouth. The route mostly follows the South West Coast Path. You can expect gorgeous views, lush woodlands and an easy to follow route.
I've created this route in response to the unsatisfactory (and potentially dangerous) nature of Tortei One. This new route option also has the advantage of not needing to use the ferry between Teignmouth and Shaldon. That said, I think someone could create an additional route option that is less hilly and with fewer steps than the coast path, but still avoids dangerous roads around Shaldon.
I really enjoyed walking this route and hope you do too!

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

24 May 2022This is a spectacular walking route with breathtaking views and woodlands to loose your imagination in. I have walked this route several times through different seasons, and each time it has been brimming with unique fauna and flora. If you are lucky you may see/hear the elusive cirl bunting.
Along Labrador Bay there are some steep incline, and when the ground is wet they can be difficult to walk, especially as there is no support. If this might be a concern, I would recommend bringing a set of walking poles.
This time wildlife was a little coy, I did see:
Robins
House Sparrows
Crows
I heard plenty of Chiff Chaffs
I have previously seen the mighty Peregrine Falcon on this walk.
Music listened to:
Various songs from Michael Hurley
Birdsong.

03 Apr 2022This is a wonderful way to get between Torquay and Teignmouth! Stunning views, beautiful woodland and an easy to follow route. I'll 100% be walking this route again!
There are some steep hills and lots of steps.
I shared this route and, as I said in the description, I reckon someone could share another Tortei route that will be easier and more direct than this one... but make walking through Shaldon safer than Tortei One. That's the only reason I've not given it five stars.
