15 May 2022Perfectly straightforward route along pavements and roadways. Only negative comments are around tree roots narrowing the pavement (which are not significantly obstructive and there are other options, such as crossing the road) and the end of the route which takes you across the green (not recommended as barrier blocks exit to green at the far side). Apart from that this is probably about as easy as they come!.

29 Aug 2021We walked this route from Shoreham to Southwick on a Sunday afternoon combining with SOUBRI One to reach Brighton. This section is entirely on pavements along residential streets. The usual dropped kerbs and some roots from street trees lifting the pavement are the only obstacles. Saying that we observed the route being used by mobility scooter and pushchair users. The route follows National Cycle Route 2 and is also a bus route, the car traffic was quite sedate. It starts or finishes on Southwick Green by a rather odd bus shelter-styled structure built to commemorate a former captain of the cricket team which still plays on the Green. Overall a perfectly serviceable Slow Way, if somewhat dull.

12 May 2021Follows the cycle route 2. All of the route is on concrete in a residential area, and so is accessible in principle but the pavement on one road, i think Park Road, was not suitable for chair users or scooters. The trees planted took up most of the pavement and routes were coming up through making what pavement there was very uneven. Route goes past/near several schools so busy at peak school times.
