Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

24 Apr 2024Starting at Rhyl Interchange, with its superb transport links and varied shops and eateries, the route soon leaves the main road and follows residential streets to a public right of way, just south of Brickfields Pond. Whilst passable, this right of way was very muddy in places, and had multiple sharp branches positioned in just the right places to hit the unexpecting SlowWays reviewer in the face and snag clothing.
A couple of stiles and a meander through fields containing sheep, the right of way suffers from pooling and deep mud (SJ176794). Thankfully, we were accompanied by an intrepid dog, who took one for the team and waded through the mud and water to alert us to the fact that if we continued, our walking shoes would be breached. Unfortunately we weren't able to find a detour around this obstruction, so we retraced our steps and created Rhyrhu Two - a slightly longer, but far more accessible route.
