Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

05 Jun 2023This is a good route if you want to get a feel for the design of Milton Keynes as a garden city, it takes you through a variety of MK landscapes and mostly runs alongside the city's 'grid road' system. As a result there is some traffic noise, but walking on the city's 'redways' means you are always on well segregated paths which are quiet and easy to walk, cycle, or wheel on. The route is very safe. The route passes through Linford wood which is a lovely piece of urban woodland, and most of the 'redways' have at least a bit of greenery around them. At the Newport Pagnell end of the route there is a nice stretch beside a brook. There are many places to stop for food and drink along the way and the whole route is reasonably well connected to the MK bus network. Overall however, this route is nothing particularly special!.
