Description
A beautiful route between Kings Hill and Maidstone, passing through Wateringbury. The River Medway provides excellent scenery and other areas are still sure to delight. Perfect for those looking for a long, but not too long, walk.
Notes:
- The section between the Archbishop's Palace and Maidstone East station occasionaly floods. If this does occur during your walk, take a diversion following the road between Maidstone East and Lockmeadow.
- Stairs must be used between Maidstone East and the Medway. If you're a wheelchair user, consider following the road between Maidstone East and the subway next to Drakes Cork and Cask pub.
- Do NOT attempt to access the wartime bunker (shown in one of the images).
- You may come across some horses (also shown in one of the images), treat them with respect and follow all signage

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
