16 May 2024Filton end isn't the nicest along the main road, most of the rest of the route is safely and relatively easy in summer. The section either side of Stoke Gifford bypass becomes very wet and borderline impassable in very wet periods. The section East of Stoke Gifford bypass up to the motorway is closed for the next couple of years with a poorly signposted diversion to the north of the building site/new estate. They have applied to make this a permanent change which may require a fundamental change to this route.

08 Jul 2022 (edited 14 Sep 2022)Overall this is a good route but the current development work between the stoke gifford bypass and M32 means a diversion along the bypass into Hambrook Lane rather than directly across that area. This is marked but it’s not very clear
The short footpath before Sunnyside Lane is quite overgrown and not easy to get through. (See photo)
Otherwise enjoyable.

24 Apr 2022Major construction work is happening in the field after the M32 and there is a poorly signed detour around the site.

30 May 2021Pleasant route but currently diverted midway due to large housing development. Areas of the route narrow and slightly overgrown when walked in late May.
