Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

03 Feb 2024I agree with NickD's comments on the route. Pleasant enough street walking and surfaced footpaths. Plenty of shops in Bromley High Street. Toilets in The Glades shopping centre on first floor above Waterstones. Small shops at Chislehurst opposite bus stop.

06 Jun 2022Pleasant route, no major access issues. Once past the busy Bromley shopping centre , the route is mainly quiet-ish residential roads, with a couple of paved footpaths around the middle section and a couple of busy roads to cross. The walk does pass along the edge of a couple of golf courses, but you don't get to see too much due to the fences/trees/bushes. Walking up Camden Park Road, some of the pavement can be non-existent or under repair, but it is a private road which is very quiet, so a diversion onto the roadway, obviously still taking care, is necessary at some parts. Near the end, recommend crossing the busy Bromley Road, at the top of Camden Park Road, as the pavement from there to the end of the walk, is only on the one side of the road.
